2010 Master Gilder certification, Finland
I have worked in the field as an independent entrepreneur and in collaboration with other professionals. I have expanded my work to include art and my own production, although my passion still remains the restoration and conservation of objects from the past.

2006 Gilder journeyman’s examination, Finland
I continued my business activities in Finland, focusing mainly on the conservation and restoration of gilded and painted furniture, frames and interiors.

2005 Sweden, Stockholm
I worked in Stockholm, Sweden, at a local gilding workshop.

2003–2005 Russia, St. Petersburg
I worked at Masterskaya Slezin, under the guidance of my master Viktor Slezin, and at the Hermitage Museum.

2002 Finland, Helsinki
I founded my own gilding company and continued working and studying (Journeyman’s years) in the workshops of local gilding masters. I was involved in the following historically valuable projects:

2001–2002 Ireland, Dublin
I worked at the National Gallery of Ireland under the guidance of gilder Cathy Day Carrigan.

1998–2001 Gilder's Apprenticeship, Finland
I completed a 3-year Gilder's Apprenticeship at the local gilder's workshop, Taidetyöhuone Oy Snellman. During my apprenticeship, I participated in several restoration and conservation projects of cultural and historical value under my teachers guidance, including:

Conservation and restoration of the iconostasis of the Tampere Orthodox Church

Conservation and restoration of the Kuopio Orthodox Church

Conservation and restoration of the gilded artefacts in the Government premises: the President's Exhibition Hall, Königstedt Manor, Smolna Banqueting House

1993–1996 Master of Arts in Fine Arts, Finland
During my studies, I was mainly interested in decorative painting, etching, marbling and other special techniques in painting. These techniques have been of great benefit to me throughout my career as a craftsman and artist.
